The banks have always used for marketing functions. Toaster as a gift for opening accounts. Today, banks use the price as iPods and gift cards to people who are open to influence on accounts and / or change financial institutions. What gifts do you offer a reward for an account?

Many banks issue here between $ 100 and a checking account to start, but you have the money automatically deposited into a savings account and need to stay there for months, or take the 100 back.
I want to open an account for basketball or hockey tickets.
I like cash.
It would be very difficult for me to go to Washington Mutual.
I have 3% cash back on my purchases by debit card at the end of the year.
Control Free for life.
Free ATM withdrawals (at no cost to them, but only the other side).
Free guarantees for my purchases.
One free overdraft per year.
And many other things.
If I'm looking for a checking account at another bank for years, I have a "toolkit". It was nice, but I taxes at the end of the year.
I can buy what you offer more or less as a reward, I would like to see higher interest rates on savings accounts, or perhaps something new for their control. Maybe put some time on the pay rate is higher.
Another idea I like is what the Bank of America has given them, is a great spectacle as the transmission of the change in the use of ATMs in your savings account. They play for the first month.
