Better quality for the money I've ever seen is Orion Telescopes, you can get a 12-inch Dobsonian reflector for about $ 600usd
If there is 5000 pounds, making it a retro reflector instead of a Newton. Reflection on the LX?
If this is your budget, you can think about a series of 8 inches or IR as the LX Celestron C-8 or better. Suppose you have some experience in observing, travel well, because all they really need is to learn how to use the GOTO function, which can be cumbersome and frustrating for beginners, just to see manage the sky.
